Wow, July flew by! Our family spent 2 weeks in Montana at Flathead Lake. We celebrated our daughters first birthday with both my husband’s and my parents, and spent time on the lake with friends who tagged along for part of the trip. With half the month being vacation my shopping looked a little different.

Hose Timer – I bought two of these to make sure my garden was watered while we were gone. Most of our yard and plants are on a sprinkler system, but the vegetable garden beds are new this year so they don’t have lines installed yet, and my potted plants aren’t on the drip system that the flower beds are on. These worked so well that we’ll be keeping the garden on them for the rest of the summer and fall. They’re wifi enabled so we can adjust watering cycles from our phones when we’re out of town.

Resistance Bands – In late June my husband I started a new workout program that consistently uses resistance bands, so I grabbed these from Amazon. Since we work out together most days though, it would be nicer if we each had our own set because it only includes one set of handles, so we’ll probably be purchasing a second.

Kettlebells – We also added a set of 35 pound kettlebells to our home gym. We already had a 20 pound set, but they weren’t cutting it for some exercises anymore.

Deck Boxes – We’ve put a lot of work into our yard and garden this summer. We’ve added raised beds for a vegetable garden and more permanent potted plants on our deck under our pergola. I added two of these deck boxes to help keep outdoor clutter at bay. One is used to house supplies for my husband’s smoker, and one stores the covers for our patio furniture.

Wet Vac – This was my biggest splurg of the month and boy was it worth it. I really didn’t need another vacuum. Between a robot vacuum on each floor, a stick vacuum and a more powerful plug in vacuum we should be good. But if you have young kids this is a game changer. It makes cleaning up after meal times with our one year old a breeze. It easily removes anything that she dumped on the floor and our three dogs missed.
